Quick Start Guide for TAs

Turn on lights
IMPORTANT: Turn on the projector first.
The remote is on the black box in the far corner of the room
Turn on TVs using remotes by the TV cart.
The large remote is for the large TV
The small remote is for the small TV
Turn on Amazon Fire Tablet if it is not already running.
Press the button directly above the charging cable to activate tablet
Once the tablet is activated, swipe up from the bottom of the screen
Open Zoom Rooms App
The tablet should auto-open to the Zoom Rooms app. If not, click on the app icon
If the tablet is unable to connect to the internet, then reconnect to WiFi (UTGR)
Start Meeting
The correct class might already be displayed. If not:
Click on the Meeting List page
Select the correct class
Click Start
Unmute and turn video on
Select gallery or speaker view with the “Change View” button
Prof’s computer
Lecturer should connect to Zoom via Moodle.
Lecturer should be muted, with camera off, and computer speakers muted
Two ways for individuals to share slides
Screen Share their slides in Zoom
The slides should now appear on the projector and the two TVs
OR
Press the green Share button on the tablet to get the sharing key and passcode.
Then open Zoom, press Share Screen, and enter the displayed credentials.
Start Class
Admit students from waiting room
Disable waiting room
Check that recording is on
Breakout Rooms
Function similarly to normal Zoom interface
Managed via the Amazon Fire Tablet

The TCL remote is for the TCL TV

Turning on the TVs in the correct order is important for Screen Sharing
Use the TCL remote on the black box
Second, turn on LG TV 1
LG TV 1 is the TV closest to the door by the black box
Use the LG remote on the black box
Third, turn on LG TV 2
LG TV 2 is the TV furthest from the door
Use the same LG remote on the black box
