Managing Video
Using the Chapel requires a 2-hour training session with Regent IT. Email [email protected] to book a session. Using the Chapel without proper training is not allowed.
OBS Streaming
Note: OBS Streaming is not the preferred method of streaming. Please use SlingStudio or YouTube Streaming.
OBS streaming allows you to embed content from the projector onto the stream. You can zoom the camera and put the slides on the corner of the stream. However it is more complicated than YouTube.
Note: Starting OBS will cause the projector to reset, showing a blue screen for a few seconds. It's important to start OBS before the event starts.
Launch OBS from the taskbar
Click Tools -> PTZOptics Camera Controller
1. Click "PTZOptics" at the top, which selects the camera
2. Click "Recall" at the bottom, so you can use preset camera positions
Note: If you leave "Preset" selected you will overwrite the zoom settings and blank the name. If this happens you will need to recreate that setting by manually adjusting the camera using the controls. Make sure to describe the setting by overwriting "Preset Text goes here."
Create live event as per the YouTube instructions, but select the "Chapel OBS" stream in ingestion settings. "Chapel OBS Variable" may deliver higher quality.
Whichever stream key you pick you should check OBS by clicking "Settings" -> "Stream". Make sure the key (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) matches the one selected in YouTube.
Click "Start Stream" and confirm the popup
Verify YouTube is receiving the stream, preview, and start the stream. Make sure it says "You're Live!" in YouTube. Make sure audio is working on the stream by loading it on another device.
Switch between Scenes and change camera zoom and position
When you are done click "Stop Streaming" in OBS and in YouTube.
